Notably, Campana’s strike made Club history, as it took his tally for Inter Miami to 30 across all competitions to become the top-scorer in Inter Miami history.

Although Wednesday’s draw in Atlanta was disappointing, Inter Miami are still on course to cruise to this year’s Supporters’ Shield title. They have 63 points, eight clear of the LA Galaxy atop the league table.

The New England Revolution’s single-season MLS record of 73 points set in 2021 is also within reach as Messi works back from his lengthy injury absence.

He added: “My colleagues have a winning mentality, and Al Hilal is historically accustomed to achieving victory in every match.”

Regarding the comparison of the upcoming Saudi match with the Seville derby, Yassine Bounou commented: “The Seville and Betis derby are more familiar because the two teams are from the same city, while Al Hilal and Al Ittihad are from two different cities, such as Real Madrid and Barcelona.”

Updates On Kenneth Walker III, Boye Mafe & Other Seahawks Injuries Ahead Of Sunday’s Game vs. Miami

0

Also doubtful for this weekend’s game is linebacker Jerome Baker, who left last week’s game with a hamstring injury.

“Bake’s working his butt off, tried to really give it a go,” Macdonald said. “Doesn’t look good right now. Everything’s going well, it’s just probably not good enough at this point.”

Two players have been ruled out for the game, tackle George Fant, who injured his knee in Seattle’s Week 1 win over Denver, and outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu, who will miss a third straight game after injuring his knee in the final preseason game. Macdonald said Nwosu, who was not placed on injured reserve to start the season, which would have caused him to miss the first four games, is pushing to make it back next week.

“I don’t want to put words in his mouth, but I know he’s optimistic, and he’s progressing really quickly,” Macdonald said. “It would be great to have him back next week. That would justify not putting him on IR.”

Outside linebacker Boye Mafe, who leads the team with 2.0 sacks, is questionable due to a knee injury suffered in last week’s game, but Macdonald indicated Mafe should be able to play.

“He’s trending positively,” Macdonald said. “He looked good today. We’ll kind of monitor it over the next couple of days, but it looks good with Boye.”
